Retelling of Camelot w/ gender-bent Percival in the Welsh setting; very engaging. Also featuring Arthur/Gwen/Lancelot OT3.

I think this was actually everything I wanted in the sequel. Identity porn, but much more capital-F Fantasy than HotE. Such a strong found family trope, but without the loss of blood family, which I like. Fleshing out of Rhodin and Ludvic and Conju (a bit) and BASIL! I enjoyed also the overturning of the why-is-the-chosen-one-always-a-volatile-teenager meme, because Kip is decidedly more methodical in his adventuring.
I think my favorite scene was Fitzroy's first appearance in the flesh, and then perhaps the very end -- because as I have also read all of Greenwing & Dart, I thought of Domina Anyra as soon as Kip told Fitzroy his secret and was d e l i g h t e d to be correct. And with Circe! I didn't expect to see her anytime soon!
Anyway, come for the identity porn, stay for the pretty men crying, enjoy more fully if you also used the Nine Worlds as your Emotional Support Literature in 2022.
