I'm not sure what I was expecting but something so refreshingly different and laugh-out-loud witty was not it. I absolutely loved this book! If it was a living person, I would insist it become my best friend and that we hang out every day if not just dropping down on one knee and begging it to marry me (and I don't care that girls are not normally the ones to propose).

I've never read anything with Druids before and I'm sorely regretting it. The way the author portrays the magic is fascinating. Energy and power from the earth. In some places it almost seems a bit scientific. I also love the idea that every form of religion is true besides the notion that there is only one true religion. Every deity from every religious faction was represented; that in itself is remarkable.

And what can I say to describe Atticus(or whatever the hell his real name is)? He's a real guy! Sure he's thousands of years old and has kick-ass Druid magic but you don't see him being some kind of sex god that just so effing cool and mysterious; He gets flustered, he plays with his dog, he watches baseball and innocently flirts with nice old ladies. You want a perfect guy? Take him and go to hell; I want Atticus.
