5 stars

This a magnificent historical tale of love, loss, and hope. The suffering so many experienced dragging humanity through the horrors of Stalin and Hitler must neither be diminished nor forgotten.

Lina's story not only exemplifies the dilemmas, strength and hardships required to simply survive but, also, emphasizes the dimension of time required to achieve modicums of success.
