In Armies, Rosero portrays the devestation brought to the village San Jose, by the ongoing confoicts between guerillas, drug traffickers, paramilitaries and the army. The story is told through the eyes of elderly teacher, Ismael, interwriting the tragedy of a place with his personal tragedy.
