@William Okay, so I had these exact same feelings the first time I read "The Way of Kings", however, your feeling that it will be worth it is spot on. I did a re-read of the entire series prior to reading "Rhythm of War" last year and there is so much that you pick up on/realize when you go back to it.

Melisondra [bookish] replied to Paul Barker's status
@pbarker I recently finished "Rhythm of War" for the first time and while I have some critiques of it, the "Stormlight Archive" as a whole is fantastic. The most recent "Mistborn" book, "The Lost Metal", is one I plan on reading soon though part of me wants to go back and reread the series again.
Melisondra [bookish] replied to Paul Barker's status
@pbarker I haven't imported all of my books in yet, but I have read the series and have similar opinions to yours. It was really difficult for me to get into The Dresden Files at first despite multiple attempts by my best friend to get me to read them. Finally, I borrowed the audiobook of the first one from the library and that did it for me. James Marsters does a fantastic job narrating the series and has made The Dresden Files such a great read.

I am currently on the first page of Chapter 7 and while I started reading this book over a week ago, I haven't done a lot of reading lately unfortunately. Hopefully I will have more time to do so during the next few days due to the holiday.
