So this was by far my least favorites of the series- surprising me. I gave it a five star because damn Lily can write! Seriously, even the proverbial grocery list. She is so very talented. This is a me issue.
I struggled with this story not because I disliked Seraph or Lilac, but because there was no storyline other than Seraph becoming sane and earning trust. I stopped about 60% through and read another book before coming back because this felt repetitive.. about extremely painful things.
It was awful to watch not only the way Seraph was treated but much pain he was in all the time. Never ending pain- and that was a majority of the book.
On the plus side I adored Seraph and having the previous MCs about was fabulous as well.
