Once again, there's a slow start with a large cast and lots of names to learn or remember. But once it gets going, it's a runaway train of action and adventure. The battle scenes are brutal and visceral, the horror elements horrific. Highly recommended if you are looking for a Viking style fantasy read.

When your book is compared to Adams & Pratchett, it's very difficult to live up to those comparisons. Maybe that's what happened here.
