I am not a cat person, but I really enjoyed this. Scalzi has a quirky sense of humor and good plot twists, even when you are expecting plot twists.

Started reading this at Halloween last year; got bogged down in the suffocating Victorian society aspects and had to set it aside. I loved the campy 1998 film adaptation with Hugh Grant and Sammi Davis. I'll pick it up again, someday.
