Loveday isnt like other girls, she likes books and
dislikes people. She doesn't wear high heels, she
prefers metallic DMs and she's got a 'mysterious'
past.
I tried giving this book a proper chance, I really did.
Strike 1: T.S Eliot slander
Strike 2: Poorly written 'mentally ill' character
Strike 3: Loveday claiming she knew her and Nathan
would not work out (while they are together, happily)
after his sister tells Loveday she's proud of Nathan??
In all honesty, this is just another book about a girl
who thinks she's not like others because she comes
from a dysfunctional family—not necessarily a bad
thing—but if your character's going to have a flawed
mindset at least write it well? I won't get into the unnecessary death of Archie, supposedly for shock value (except it fell flat and made the ending even duller).
2/5 Don't bother.
