This book is definitely one of Dostoevsky's more peculiar pieces but nonetheless leaves some form of obscure imprint on your mind once exposed to it. The Double presents much to be looked at in terms of identity, individuality, and expression—it is most certainly more than just its unnerving, somewhat idiosyncratic portrayal of a man's sanity deteriorating.
