Stephen King: IT (Hardcover, 2017, Scribner)

To the children, the town was their whole world. To the adults, knowing better, Derry …

It's A Lot

Where to start...

IT is strange seeing as the premise is interesting, the characters are compelling, the setting feels very much alive, yet the format is incredibly exhausting and challenging even to experienced readers.

Also the sewer scene was completely unnecessary, frankly, even in a splatterpunk perspective.

Jennette McCurdy: I'm Glad My Mom Died (Paperback, 2022, Simon & Schuster Audio and Blackstone Publishing)

A heartbreaking and hilarious memoir by iCarly and Sam & Cat star Jennette McCurdy about …

Wow

I had heard of this book, obviously, and that its contents were shocking; but I don't think I ever expected the amount of cruel hardships Jennette has gone through during her lifetime. A difficult, painful, truthful, and raw recollection of abuse. My sincerest admiration to Jennette for fighting to overcome her wounds and telling her story.

Disappointing Expectations

When my entire feed and social circles were abuzz about this series (who could blame them; I'm very active in the furry community), I knew I had to give it a try.

This might have been tainted by the fandom's portrayal of the characters and story but... the series is very... heterosexual.

I did enjoy the world's logistics and form of discrimination towards prey species, while also creating sympathetic predator species characters, however I found the main plot following Legoshi dull.

TL,DR: Needs more queer furries.
