Early Wells is still Good Wells

This book took me a while, but that was due to external factors.

There is a lot to like about Wells' work. Her characters are interesting, the magic or space has it's unique tinges yet still has a grounding in reality.

What what's best is the atypical settings. Yes, deserts aren't one of a kind, but it's still rare compared to the amount of faux-Europe settings.

If you like Murderbot and fantasy, you'll probably like this.
