Content warning I guess I have a PS4 now? What's good on it that isn't on the Switch?

I've historically liked JRPGs, point-and-click adventures, and Metroidvanias, and I lean more towards indie feelings than AAA. I suck at twitch reflexes (including "Soulslikes") and 3D platforming, I'm not into open-ended take-over-your-life games, and I'm suspicious of rogueli[kt]es.

But the biggest thing is that I only have so much time for games, and I want ones that feel good to have played, not just addictive timewasters.

@klara@wandering.shop Hmm...trying to think of things exclusive to the playstation.

FF VII R 1 might be on Steam now? But it's a good game. FF VII R 2 is PS5 only sadly.

Death Stranding is a unique one. I think also on steam now. Kojima breaks free of Konami's rails and goes completely off them. The walking and story I really enjoy, the stealth/horror less so.

Gravity Rush 1/2. Oddball action RPG that the main character can control which direction is Down. Originally for the Vita

Anything from Studio Japan (RIP) I don't know if Ico is on PS4, but The Last Guardian and Shadow of the Colossus are. Very unique and largely contemplative.

Knack 1/2: Not the best action platformers, but were made to show off the hardware at the time.

The Unfinished Swan: is more of indie fare. Explore a minimalist world following a swan. light platforming mechanics, puzzle solving, etc.

Of these, I'd most recomend Death Stranding, The Last Guardian, and the Unfinished Swan.

PS4 is definitely better than Steam for me. I don't exactly have a "gaming rig", and psychologically I seriously prefer a separation between general purpose computers and video game devices.
