Given the blurb, I thought this would be an intriguing read, but I found myself slogging through the book and never felt connected to the world or characters. The novel was confusing, hard to grasp, and I found I didn't care much about anything that happened.

From what I've read from other reviewers, I'm not alone in this frustration. I did not finish the book, for I could no longer bring myself to pick it up.
