When I chose to read this, I knew almost nothing about the book's contents. I was surprised by how compelling Tara's story proved to be. I learned a great deal about how growing up Mormon affects one's future prospects and how surrounding yourself with toxic family members can provoke such positive change. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a change in perspective or who has an interest in learning about growing up under a religion unfamiliar to them.
