Just finished the first story: Those who stayed to fight. I'm relishing it. I had to stop the book to sit with the first story for a while. Awesome!
Seeing traces of other stories she's written later. And loving how she's winding past and present and future, old myths and current events. Such a fantastic writer. I think I can only handle one story a day. They each deserve time to settle in and take up residence.
