Why are you talking abstract hypotheticals rather than discussing Melanchon‘s utopian ideas?
“Unsound ideas” that serve the interests of the ruling class arise all the time and they fought for with cunning, deceit, lies, force, violence and terror.
Sound ideas don’t fight for themselves.
FYI: many claim the label of Trotskyist. You should ask them to justify themselves. Most of them don’t deserve it.
