I love to read in theory, but I rarely do it in practice. Maybe the social aspect of this place will help develop the reading habit I used to have when I was younger.

Neil Gaiman, Michael Moorcock, Samuel Roukin: Elric of Melniboné : Volume 1 (AudiobookFormat, 2022, Recorded Books, Inc.) 4 stars

I finished this compilation's first book, "Elric of Melniboné."

This is the first time I've read this book, but not the first time I've read this story. I'm familiar with the comic book adaptations. I even remember reading about this story when I lived in Chile, and finding a copy of this book in local libraries back in the 90s, turned out to be impossible. I always wanted to read it, but I couldn't find it.

And now I've read it. And I don't know how I feel about it. I guess it was just fine.

Not the thrilling read I thought it would be.

I look forward to reading the rest. The next book in the compilation is "The Fortress of the Pearl," which I'm unfamiliar with.

"A Game of You" never was one of my favorite volumes, so it's one that I haven't read since the early 2000s. It was interesting to re-discover it all these years later. It reminded me that this was one of the first times I saw a transgender person represented in fiction.
