Randy Wayne White: One Deadly Eye (2024, Harlequin Enterprises ULC) No rating

Devoured this in a weekend. I have read every Doc Ford and Hannah Smith novel by White. An action-filled page-turner. Possibly the thinnest of these books. It felt, like some other books in the series, like part one of a two-parter. I also read the parts about the hurricane going through as if they were at least semi-autobiographical about White's experience on Sanibel Island during Hurricane Ian in 2023.

finished reading Wool by Hugh Howey

Hugh Howey: Wool (Hardcover, 2013, Simon & Schuster)

If you're coming to "Wool" from the "Silo" TV series, the plot unfolds in the book a lot differently than in the show. We end up pretty much in the same place, but we get there on a different journey. I think I like the book's treatment a bit better.
