Kevin Herne's Iron Druid Chronicles are a big comfort read for me, and I've reread them several times. Urban fantasy series covers silly, lighthearted fun and heavy themes of what it means to live, with many interesting characters and plenty of adventure. This third entry in the series works in tales and characters from additional mythologies, especially the Norse pantheon, and an old prophecy to set up the following story to unfold over more than six additional books and associated short form fiction.

A nerd and geek with too many interests and too little time. I like my science fiction hard and my fantasy urban. I like mysteries and crossover romance too.

Cheryl finished reading Hammered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #3) by Kevin Hearne
Cheryl finished reading Upgrade by Blake Crouch
An adventure with meditations on climate and what it would mean to be an engineered 'upgraded' human. It's a bit shallow in its analysis in my opinion, but it's primarily a thriller/adventure so I didn't expect major depth.
