Heroes provided a comprehensive analysis of the numerous individual and social axes driving the crisis of modern capitalist alienation, although I'm not entirely sure I agree with the author's conclusions and I felt there was an obvious lack of attention paid to contemporary women's experiences with alienation.

The first part of this book felt like a migraine-- I really enjoyed it, though. As a whole, the perspectives of D&G have given me an entirely new lens through which to investigate and question the social order and contemporary injustices, and even now the concepts presented are still digesting inside my head. I expect them to remain there for a long time.

Speed and Politics is an exceptional analysis of the history of military involvement and technology in the politics of the past, present, and future.
