This is a remarkable exposé that reads like a thriller. It only took me so long to read it because of my own experiences with sexual assault and gaslighting. My single frustration with the material was that with such a stultifying long list of characters it was challenging for me to keep track of who was doing what. But in the end, that didn't matter overmuch.

This book should be required reading for all white Americans trying to educate ourselves about systemic racism. It is not an easy read, nor should it be.
