Goodreads Review of Invisible Planets: An Anthology of Contemporary Chinese SF in Translation

This is an outstanding collection of Chinese science fiction stories in translation. I believe that it was the first of its kind, and there have since been numerous others. The stand-outs are the stories by Chen Qiufan, Xia Jia’s “A Hundred Ghosts Parade Tonight,” and Hao Jingfang’s “Folding Beijing” (which is my single favorite).

The text concludes with a series of essays about science fiction in China by three of the contributors.

Basically, I ate this up. I can’t wait to check out the other collections.
