2 stars

This is, by all accounts, not a good book. The bulk of it is about, essentially, mindfulness. Live in the current moment and act in the current moment, don’t internalize the past or future, just act accordingly. Look to be part of something larger.

The downside is that he dives deep into the woo woo. There’s something beautiful about the woo when it’s an ancient tradition, I suppose, and things like the Tao are things I can visualize. But when he talks about the inner body and feeling the vibration of individual cells, he’s lost me.

There’s an attempt here to syncretize a number of different traditions, and I’m happy for you if Tolle’s advice works, but it didn’t do it for me.
