The Weaver Reads reviewed Winnie-The-Pooh by A. A. Milne
Goodreads Review of Winnie-the-Pooh
5 stars
I never loved Winnie-the-Pooh as a child. I had never read the books, but I was familiar with him through Disney movies and other sorts of media. The reason I picked this up, was because I was so impressed by The Tao of Pooh that I wanted to go back to the stories. I'm so glad that I did.
Milne writes with so much whimsy and care, that you can't help but love his stories. I appreciate them more now at nearly 30 than I ever did as a child. His use of adverbs, the zaniness of the stories, and his love for the subject are all so apparent. I'm going to pick up the second book and one of the poetry books next, and I'm really looking forward to them.
