I really enjoyed this book series

What a great book. I was a bit reserved after having watched the tv show and wasn’t sure if I should try the book series. I am glad that I did. Much better than the show—somehow I am more drawn into the world than I was when just watching the screen. I will definitely continue with this series. The mixture of magic, fantasy and medieval-like lands is exactly what I like. Really excited to see what the next book is about!

Yeah, the show completely ruined it. I understand having to cut things out because there are 15 books (including prequel), but they CHANGED fundamental things that make no sense and violate some world/magic system rules. They also seem to be ruining it by making a YA thing. It's horrible. I will only watch it so I can judge it.

Stay with the books, even through the long slog in the middle, and you will be greatly rewarded in the last 3 books. I'm on book 12 with 2 more to go.
