I was not hooked for about the first half of the book. Nothing really happened and establishing the world and the character’s relationships took too long. It was very weird to see so many fairy tale clichés being used just to make the book more complex and possibly more interesting?!—not for me though. Over-use of stereotypes and these kinds of things bored me even more.
Only at just over 50% was when it got interesting and added a few interesting tricks—even though some things were rather predictable.
I might continue reading this series based on the ending but am not expecting it to get much better. The book can be used as an okey time-filler but unfortunately not much more.
