I bought this book when it was released and then took a while to actually get to it.
So far at 30% of the way through, I LOVE IT. Very cozy and the world is SO fresh, glittering, and beautiful to live in. So happy the main character is autistic and stubborn because so am I!
Outstanding book about the Mountain Men during the fur trapping days. A novel of man β¦
I can't help but love this book but I'm sure it's not for everyone. My heart will always belong to the landscape of the Rocky Mountains in the west and so this is why I love it. It's about my home state of Idaho, and I bought it from a state park gift shop at Craters of the Moon in southern Idaho. (state and national park gift shops are some of my favorite places to find books). It's been a long while since I read it but I remember it romanticises the hard life trappers and other people had when expanding west.
