Took me more than a year to work my way through this book but I finally made it. I think I know now where to start if I wanted to build a Rust application, but as with any project you're only proficient once you built something non-trivial. Nonetheless I have the feeling that working my way through the book "the hard way" (transcribing all listings) also made me a better programmer in the languages I do know.
