I adore Scott Summers. I know many people don't like him, but he's always been one of my favorite characters. This book portrays him so well and I love seeing him play off the other characters like Emma and Magik.

The new characters of this series are also fun and light and I'm glad to meet them. Overall, I loved the first volume even if I'm not very familiar with the X-Men comics. I had to glance through a few wiki to catch up and figure out what was going on in the story, but it was worth it. :D
