Niko, Cal, Robin, Promise and the crew are back for a Werewolf tale, complete with twist ending. George has been kidnapped, and if Cal and crew don't come up with what the kidnapper wants--they're out of luck and George'll be history.

Good story. The characters are all as fun as in the first novel. And despite an ever blossoming romance with Promise, Niko still manages to be the best over-protective/probably-more-Cal's-parental-than brother ever--win win for me. Robin of course, steals the show as well as everyone's favorite egotistical Pan.

The book had a nice little twist at the end, and the entire book was worth it for Flay & Slay. You'll know what I mean when you get to it.

If I had anything to complain about, I think this is the first time I've slightly regretted reading a sequel immediately after the first. There was a lot of repeated information from the first book; call backs, re-statements of history and/or events. It'd be good if I hadn't read one of these in a year, but reading it just after the first book--it felt overly repetitive and I zoned out a bit after each "Last time, when!"

Overall, good stuff. Didn't like it quite as much as the first one (I honestly could have done without the George & Cal romance--I don't dislike it, but it seemed to come out of nowhere, too--if there were hints for it in Book #1, I missed them under all the Bromance and Niko/Promise/Robin fun), but I liked it more than enough to pick up the third book in the series.
