I had a hard time with this in the beginning, and I still think it was too long, but once I realized at this point in the story, it's not really a romance anymore, and more of a saga, or an adventure book, I enjoyed it more. There are still many parts that are skimmable, but I liked it, and of course, now I want to read the next one immediately.
