i used to read a lot when i was younger, and i wish i can go back to that. i grew up with classics because they're the most accessible (thank you, project gutenberg!) and suspense novels in the school library. adulthood brought me to non-fiction.

drawn out pointless violence

I rushed through it because it was reading like a lot of words with little development and little interest of making sense to the reader.

It's not that it's badly written, it's readable, but the violence and plentiness of it feel ultimately pointless.
