Joe Abercrombie: The Wisdom of Crowds (Hardcover, 2021, Orbit)

Chaos. Fury. Destruction.

The Great Change is upon us...

Some say that to …

Make your heart a stone

I should have "made my heart a stone", I'm never going to emotionally recover from this 😭

An excellent conclusion to what has turned into my favorite Fantasy series. I can't recommend these books enough, they have everything:

Witty banter? βœ… A diverse cast of characters? βœ… A fully realized world on the brink of war? βœ… People navigating complex moral choices? βœ… Political drama? βœ… Romance? βœ… Magic?..... βœ… Whicked cool sword fights??βœ…

My ONLY complaint is about stuff that gets revealed in the concluding chapters and I can't really write about it here. Still an amazing concluding chapter and a fantastic trilogy!!

Richard Bachman: The Running Man (1999)

One of Stephen King's weaker books

I'm still deciding on where I land with this book, 2/5 might be a bit harsh. Maybe a 2.5 or even a 3?

It's definitely one of the weaker SK books I've read, and it's the latest in a string of his books that I didn't enjoy 😞

I might write more later, but these are my cursory thoughts!
