Hugh Howey: Half Way Home (2010)

Review of 'Half Way Home' on 'Goodreads'

First non-Wool Hugh Howey book I've read. An interesting premise, a number of interwoven themes and a few altered-reality curve balls all make for an unusual read. That said, I found the characters a little two-dimensional, a little stilted and the interplay between them flagged a little on occasion. For all that, another decent read from HH.

Travis A Mohrman: Down The Path (Paperback, 2012, CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform)

Review of 'Down The Path' on 'Goodreads'

I finished Down The Path late last night and liked it so much that, 30 seconds later, I immediately bought Further so I could continue with Cooper on his journey - all without leaving the cosiness of my bed on a cold autumn night. Review of 'Coping with Diverticulitis' on 'Goodreads'

Great book which I found at the library. I have found it to be an excellent primer on diverticular disease. Detailed yet accessible, this slim book has provided answers to most questions. Review of '700 Sundays' on 'Goodreads'

'700 Sundays' - Billy Crystal's childhood memoir - is an achingly touching and warmly funny book; full of the family humour and love that makes the world go round. A great read - one to treasure and share, but only with those who'll give the book back!
