I finished Delta Rune chapter 4 last night! Unsurprisingly it is still very good. I appreciate how Toby Fox can tell a story through video games in ways that are simultaneously familiar and novel.
But, um. I'm worried. Because there are three more chapters to come, and I'm a poor-reflexes gamer. Just the normal chapter bosses have all taken me multiple tries and left the party barely alive with an empty inventory, because I am simply not reliably able to dodge the dang bullets.

t's been interesting reading about all the Weird Route stuff that I haven't explored and am unlikely to ever explore most of.
With Undertale coming out all at once, you could see how story elements from the various routes connected to each other. Not so with Delta Rune, which makes for so many "but what does it mean????" moments when it comes to recurring elements.
So thanks for letting me enjoy this vicariously, more intense gamers.

And I think this is the first game I've played that has portrayed a church service as a normal, non-sinister, and kinda dorky part of life? Like, Dragon Quest games have their non-sinister churches, but you only go there for save points, weddings, and resurrections. Even Mae doesn't _attend_ church in Night In The Woods (but of course she wouldn't).
It was a really nice touch, I think. Toriel totally works as a choir director mom

I'm not kidding! His plot with Susie in chapter 1 was some excellent storytelling, the first thing that really pointed out to me that this game was spot-on about awkward friendship dynamics among isolated adolescents. As weird as Lancer is, he deserves plot relevancy at some point in the rest of the game.
Though, like, of course I wanna find out more about the Holidays and what's up with Ralsei and so on and so forth. Obviously.

@Tourma I think it does on the one fight that involves keeping track of what direction sounds come from.
But I just need, like, slightly fewer bullets in my bullet hell.
