Astra Taylor: Democracy May Not Exist, but We'll Miss It When It's Gone (Paperback, 2020, Metropolitan Books)

Review of "Democracy May Not Exist, but We'll Miss It When It's Gone" on Goodreads

Very nice essays on democracy as a continuing process of defining and inclusion. The chapters all take a pair of concepts (Freedom/Equality, Conflict/Consensus) that may or may not be in tension depending on perspective, with historical and recent event connections. Summed up in the concluding title, "From founding fathers to perpetual midwives"
