Somewhere between short stories and puzzle narrative, I enjoyed this for its wandering story of relationships across distance, for its atmosphere and for the just-slightly-off world and language that kept slowly changing. In the end, I'm not sure there was much here, however, which is unfortunate given how close it was to outstanding.
