Explores how humans behave in certain situations

Much like the first book, it was hard to put down, until I took a lengthy break to read happier stuff. This book is not a happy one. It looks at humanity's behaviour and how groups repeat mistakes or how they act in face of cruel choices that have to be made. Although I finished reading the book, and I enjoyed reading it, I did not like the dark, cruel topics - although I think, the author researched well.

Hard to put down

I don't remember when I finished reading it.... It's been some time ago, but I recently finished part 2 (Arc). So, book 1, Flood, was a book that was hard to put down. The theme was curious topic, the science seemed very well researched and plausible, as the reactions of the humans portrait facing the crisis. I enjoyed reading the book, but mind it is not a happy book, occasionally it was quite dark.

Devon Price: Unmasking Autism (Hardcover, 2022, Harmony Books)

A deep dive into the spectrum of Autistic experience and the phenomenon of masked Autism, …

Helpful Book

It was a very helpful read. To learn more about autism I started to read books and this one helped me immensely. It focuses on how autistic people mask and why they mask their autistic traits. Also, it explains why anyone who is not a "white, rich boy" has a hard time to get an official diagnosis even today. Also it comes with lots of helpful, handy exercises to put off the masks one has been wearing. Some parts of the book are a bit lot focused on the situation in the US - you may want to find data or statistics about your country-, yet, that's understandable given the author origin.

Aldous Huxley: Brave New World (Paperback, 1998, HarperPerennial)

Aldous Huxley's profoundly important classic of world literature, Brave New World is a searching vision …

Read for School

Read in and for English class in school. Would likely not have read it on an other occasion, although the themes and things discussed are thought provoking, I didn't really enjoy the book.
