I'm pretty sure I read this as a kid, but maybe it was an abridged version. In equal measure a beautiful and weird story. A lot of forgiveness, given how awful all the wealthy characters are.

Sanderson has a very routine writing style. Pages and pages of characters completing the same mundane tasks, but it's awesome. How does he do it? I don't know.
