A rip-roaring yarn. Really great fun. Only comment: I struggled with the consistency of Granny's character through the book, let alone against the wider cannon.

A read that got better through the book. The first few chapters felt very clumsy, but maybe I was struggling to get into the language. The wrap up chapter to close was a surprise. I also wasn't a fan of the incest (shock, horror).

Ooof! What a silly book. Some enjoyable and ridiculous bits. But many extended chapters of tedium! Maybe it was a personal writing challenge (like moby dick) to write lengthy descriptions of the colour grey. Who knows.
Could be seriously improved with heavy editing and as a graphic novel.
