Split into 3 parts: history, the bad times, the hope for the future.
It's well written, although there's only so many ways of saying that modern farming is awful and yet nature-aware farming is tricky. The book taught me a lot, since I'm not a farmer, has made me more aware of some farming-related things, and changed my mind on a few topics.
I suspect I'll keep thinking about the book, which is a good sign.
