@mistertim@bookwyrm.social every time I finish a Serres book I have this sensation of "that was bonkers, brilliant, and I understood nothing of what he was trying to say", but the understanding nonetheless seeps in over the months that follow. This one was a bit different in that the central point is a simple, clearly stated one - pollution and waste are the origin of appropriation and property. The consequences he draws from that are far reaching and acrobatic, and I'm gonna have to ruminate on them for a bit
