Aiza has always dreamt of becoming a Knight. It's the highest military honor in the …

Beautiful, poignant, and deeply considered story & world. Come for the girls with swords, stay for the analysis of the powers of stories as weapons, and as tools for peace.

I appreciated the afterwords & making of immensely as well. I loved being enveloped by the Arab representation. And felt the potent veracity when one is lucky to be trusted with art from the creators’ experiences. I’m so glad this book exists.

So thankful for Maia and eir work. I didn’t realize I needed the representation that I did. I think I’m used to always being kinda weird and unique, but it was really nice to see so much of my “normal” be kin to someone else’s. Let alone a cool comic maker’s.

Rereading books during insomnia nights continues!

Loved this a child. Really curious to see how my adult prospecting has changed or not and in what ways.

I’m Chap 3, “Lyra’s Jordan” and I always found her life so aspirational and relatable. Adventuresome, poor impulse control/exec function, instinctual, clever, lurks around historical buildings exploring and learning everything she can. Kinda the dream.

How do I get to just haunt a university with a cool library. Dream job alert !

Erin Morgenstern: The Night Circus (Hardcover, 2011, Doubleday) 4 stars

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday …

It’s aged a bit, but I still love how much Morgenstern loves immersive experiences and strange entertainment. Me too, me too.

Def think Starless Sea is next on my bad reading—if I can handle it. It might be too advanced for my correct cognitive and I might audiobook it, but I’d like to try the ebook
