@namnatulco@bookwyrm.social I'm really not sure what to think of this book. It's definitely not what the subtitle, "a novel about work in the 22nd century", made me expect (an explicitly dystopian sci-fi novel), though I suppose in a way it gives the entire story a specific twist by pointing at the work aspect. It could also have been "on the flaws of artificial existence" or referenced the weirdly sexual relationship between objects and beings especially in the earlier half of the book.
