I'd been wanting to read this since I heard about it (it's by the author of Girl From the Other Side) and I'm glad they were able to make it into a full book. I really enjoyed how expressive the characters were, and enjoyed the story, too. I think you can read it both surface-level and on a metaphorical level as well. After starting to read I also had a better appreciation for the cover!

Cw for the book for sexual assault. Also I like snakes/lizards so that probably helped... if you don't, it might be a little much.
