If you're a fan of the series, this is an enjoyable installment that pits Torin against mysterious captors, renegade troops, and all sorts of personal and environmental challenges. If you're unfamiliar with the series, probably not the best book to start with. Entertaining read but not highly memorable and I disliked the extremely deus ex machina ending.
