I can't believe I managed to live my life without reading Butler before, but at least I get to savor each of her books now. I devoured this one in a manner similar to its subject matter. I see similarities to the Xenogeneis series, but when you can write like this, that doesn't hurt. Finally, I found a vampire book to enjoy. I'm belatedly trendy.
