Review of 'To end a presidency' on 'Goodreads'

3 stars

A comprehensive discussion of impeachment, from its basis in English law, to the debate on whether and how it fit in with the U.S. Constitution, to its use (and abuse) throughout American history, to its entanglement in modern hyperpartisanship, this book makes for sobering reading, especially after articles of impeachment against Trump have passed the House. The major takeaway is that the Framers of the a Constitution prescribed the process of impeachment, but delegated the details of judgement to us, as of course we are in the best position. And we must not take this responsibility lightly, neither abusing it, nor abdicating it.
