Another enjoyable journey into Andy Weir's speculative science fiction. Perhaps even more implausible overall but still fun to consider details.

While many pieces of this story were familiar, the combined timelines and insider stories later revealed were fascinating.
This story demonstrates failure of software development, regulation, and capitalism in ways that will make you feel better about your own failings, but worse about societal prospects.

This is a great book to teach children to persevere and that just because something goes wrong the first time you try something new you don't need to give up. The main character "a can" in the story wants to give up but then he tries again and realizes he can succeed and have fun doing activities like bike riding, playing soccer, playing music etc. It teaches children that problems and mistakes will happen and that's ok and doesn't mean you need to give up. The story and illustrations are really engaging for children. This would be a great book for any child but especially a child who has anxiety about trying new things or trying again if they had a negative experience the first time.
