My first experience with Lookout Records was mail ordering the first bunch of 7" records they released, and through the years bought more (and more!) records from Lookout. I got to know (and become friends with) David Hayes, and a few other people and bands involved with Lookout over the years, but I never really knew Larry. This book helped me get to know Larry as well as I could through the written word, and I finally found out what the hell happened at Lookout Records... at least according to Larry's side of the story.
